Climbing the 46 High Peaks: A Journey of Discovery, Healing, and Resilience. One Woman's Bold Pursuit to Become an Adirondack 46er, is more than a hiking memoir, it is a story about choosing courage when life feels uncertain.
In the span of one year, I set out to climb all 46 Adirondack High Peaks in New York State. What began as a physical challenge became something far deeper: a reclamation of strength, identity, and purpose.
Each mountain carried its own lesson.
Some demanded grit.
Some required surrender.
Some invited stillness.
The trails taught me what the world sometimes forgets to remind us:
You are stronger than you think.
You can do hard things.
Keep moving forward.
This book is for anyone navigating change, chasing a dream, healing from loss, or standing at the base of something that feels impossibly steep.
The mountains did not just shape my body.
They shaped my voice.
And this story is the echo of that climb.
Whether you're standing at the base of your own mountain or simply craving a story that reminds you of what you're capable of — this journey is for you.
